What Would You Do?

We don’t need to experience some things in life firsthand and can learn from others instead. Yet, it’s critical to seek advice from the right people when it comes to certain things.

  • Career Path Advice

Just because someone might be an expert in one field doesn’t guarantee that they’re an expert in a totally different field, which they haven’t spent any time really working in. Thus, look for career advice from an individual that is already where you’re striving to be at eventually and who was once in your current position.

  • Money Advice

Most family members we’re close to have our best interests at heart when they give financial advice. However, their advice is only based on what they know. Therefore, seek money advice from a person actually living the life you desire to have already, so you can have a better idea of what that person does consistently on a regular and try to incorporate some, if not all of those things in your life.

Spontaneous In Life

There is nothing wrong with being spontaneous when it comes to certain things. Yet, the average person can’t afford to be that way in everything they do in life. Thus, I’ll listed a couple of those things below.

Retirement Savings

  • This isn’t something you can decide to get serious about 5-10 years before you’re planning to retire. As a result, you should start contributing consistently to this savings at least by your late 20s.

Kid’s Tuition

  • There is a 50/50 chance that your kid is going to college one day when they’re born. Therefore, don’t wait until your child is a junior or senior in high school to start trying to save for it or worst case, leave it up to your child to pay for it on their own.

Coronavirus Pandemic

The Coronavirus pandemic has probably impacted everybody in the world directly or indirectly, in some type of way at this point. Therefore, if you do find yourself at home with some extra time on your hands, consider doing the following:

1. Family Board Games & Movie Nights

Take advantage of this time to spend with your immediate family more if they live with you by playing fun board games and setting aside time to watch family friendly movies together.

2. Give A Family Member Or Good Friend A Call

Give a family member or friend that you don’t talk with daily a call to catch up and let them know that you’re thinking of them, since small things like a simple phone call can have a big impact on another person day in a positive way.

3. Find A Good Book To Read

Knowledge is a powerful weapon, so arm yourself with it by finding a book and read on a specific topic you’re interested in knowing more about that isn’t covered daily on your favorite tv show or streaming service that you watch on a regular.

Not Your Decision

We get to decide a lot of things in life as adults, whether that pertains to what we do for a living or who we decide to be in a relationship with. Yet, one thing we don’t get to choose is how we might of made someone feel by something we did.

As a result, if someone does tell you that you hurt their feelings, I recommend that you first apologize to the individual, even if you don’t feel like you did anything wrong.

Next, ask the person why do they feel that you did something to hurt their feelings, because you might of did something to them unintentionally. Furthermore, by asking, you can do a better job to avoid doing it again in the future.

To Date Or Not To Date?

The goal should always be for both a man and a woman to try and make a great impression on anybody they’re interested in dating, mainly so the person will want to go out with them. However, there are certain things that can be done unintentionally, which can hinder your chances.

  • Trying To Borrow Money Before Even Going On The First Date

For a lady to do this, it can be perceived that she really isn’t dating to get to know the guy but just looking for someone to give her some money. Next, if a guy does this , it comes completely off as him not being stable enough financially to even be trying to date at the moment.

  • Expecting To Be Made A Top Priority Overnight By The Other Person

Everybody that you meet initially isn’t going to make you the top priority in their life over night. Thus, you don’t want to get too emotional with the person when they don’t and potentially come off as crazy to them.

Debt Season

During the holiday season most people usually spend more money on gifts then what they actually can afford. Furthermore, a lot of people often go in debt during the holidays that isn’t easy for them to get out of. As a result, listed below are a couple of things that should help reduce or eliminate holiday debt completely.

Bi-weekly Pay Check

If you get paid bi-weekly there is two months within the year where you will get paid three times instead of the normal two. Thus, treat those two paychecks as a yearly bonus and put that money aside as your Christmas saving.

Income Tax

Instead of blowing all your income tax money if you’re lucky enough to get anything back after filing your taxes, leverage some if not all of that money towards a Christmas saving for the end of the year.

Carry Yourself Like A Lady

It’s a dream of most women to meet the right guy for them one day and eventually get married. Yet, it’s important for a woman to carry herself like a lady on a regular while she’s single.

A woman might have already met a man she’s attracted to and feel he will make a great husband. However, the guy will more than likely just view her always only as a fun girl if she’s out doing any and everything with just about anybody and consistently not carrying herself like a lady around him, even if he does enjoy being around her.

Take Pride In Your Job

It can get tough sometime at a job to stay motivated, especially if it’s not your job dream job. However, it’s important to take pride and do your best in whatever you’re currently doing for a living.

Remember the company can take the badge and laptop back if you decide to leave, but the knowledge and experience you gain while working there they can’t get that back.

As a result, you can utilize those things to be an even more valuable employee at your future job(s) and be in a position to demand even more throughout your career as well.

All In or All Out

Any successful relationship involves some compromising on both sides in order for it to work. However, I feel like there are some things that both people must fully believe and have naturally together.

Great Chemistry

  • We should strive to be with someone that the chemistry just flows naturally with while on the phone or talking to the individual in person. Also, the conversation should rarely feel force like either of you had to work hard to find something to discuss.

Believe In Similar Key Values In Life

  • If you believe in some form of a higher power and the person you’re with is an Atheist who doesn’t, this type of situation can be a key detriment to the relationship definitely in the long term if not even in the short term.

New City Life

The possibility of moving to a new city can be very exciting, mainly since it can be look at as an opportunity for a fresh start in life. However, below are a couple of key things to consider before deciding to move to a new place, especially if you have a young child.

Cost Of Living

  • It’s important to make sure that you’re not going to be paying significantly more in rent or mortgage at the new place before you move, unless your pay at the new job will be increasing enough to make up for the difference so you can afford to live there.

Dependable & Trusted Babysitter

  • Make sure you have a support system in place of a family member or a dependable friend that you trust to babysit your child in case you need to work on the weekends, want to hang out with some friends, or go out on a date.
